x.X

Today is my final piano exam and grade (I hope so)
Maybe it was because of the past experience, I felt nervous when I stepped into the examination room.

My examiner is a lady; a cellist :)
She looks kind and have neat, short hair.

Sigh;
For my first component: Scales
D major (both hands in legato)
F sharp major (left hand only in staccato)
E flat melodic minor
B flat major (in 3rds)
C sharp minor (3rd apart)!!!!!
It was here, I freaked out! I actually asked myself: what's C sharp minor!!!! when i just played it yesterday!! The examiner waited quite long for my ans! :(

Chromatic scales minor 3rd apart starting with C sharp and E
Dominant 7th in B major
Minor 3rd apart in F
Appeigos in F (2nd inversion)

SIGH!

Following: yours truly, my 3 pieces
1. Prelude and Fugue by Bach
All I can say was that there were some stumbles but I didnt pause and didnt stare :)
Hope she didnt hear it :)
2. My most anticipated : 1st movement by Beethoven :)
Hoho :) I played quite alright only the E major scale in left hand didnt make it
:( Are there any stumbles???? minimal?? I cannot remember x.X
3. Jazz piece
In my opinion, this is the best piece for today :)

Sight Reading was a mess. I knew the keys but for some parts didnt press it. I think rhythm was in a mess :) HOHO

Aural:
Singing: No high hopes
Cadences: I said 2b, 1C and V, unsure
Modulations: Confirm correct :)
Pieces: Tonality: Minor, Articulation: Legato, Texture: Polyphonic, Form: Binary
Period: Contemporary

Then I asked for her signature :)
I hope I passed the exam. How I wish to peek at the scores she gave me.

Yesterday was my last piano lesson, it may take me a long time or maybe never for my next piano lesson. I could remember vaguely my first piano lesson or probably the first since I started to remember things; My piano teacher was a young and beautiful Japanese teacher: Miss Yuki Saito. Until now, I can still remember her face and her sweet smile :) She will always patiently guide me along when i made mistakes in playing and never stop encouraging and making the lessons interesting. She also make us stand surrounding the piano and sing the melody as she plays the piano. HOHO

My second piano teacher was a private one. I have to travel all the way to SengKang with my mum by bus for the 1 hour lesson. I passed my Grade 1 with her, but not ABRSM.

My third and current piano teacher, Mrs Swee. Motherly and caring, she always tells us about other things such as fillial piety, dilligence etc. I started lessons with her since I was in Primary 4. She is like a Grandma to me, always correcting my fingerings, encouraging and inspiring me with her pieces. We share many common interests though we have a large generation gap, hoho.
Stay healthy Mrs Swee!!

My piano and my 3 pieces! Say Cheese! :)

Its taking super long to upload the photos. I shall post it soon.
Now im going to prepare for bio SPA tmr ;)

Good Luck

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JANG GEUN SUK!!!
